Sting was born Gordon Matthew Sumner, October 2, 1951 in Newcastle, England. He was nicknamed Sting because of a black and yellow striped sweater he wore when he perfomed. In 1977, Sting joined American drummer, Stewart Copeland and British guitaritst Andy Summers to form the supergroup, The Police. In 1984 though, Sting dissolved from the group at the peak of their career and embarked on a solo career.

Availability and Shipping
