Tina Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock November 26, 1939 in Brownsville, Tennessee. She was raised by her grandmother in Nutbush. In 1955, she moved to St. Louis where she met Ike Turner. Together, they formed the Ike and Tina Turner Revue. In 1976, Tina left Ike and embarked on a solo career of her own.
